Mike Petersen Advisory Board Member
Michael J. Petersen is a creative problem-solving and deal-making businessman and lawyer. Mr. Petersen has a proven record of success in transactions, intellectual property, commercial real estate, management, financing and franchising. At NowDocs, a leader in time sensitive document management, Petersen coordinated due diligence and closed funding for $31 million financing by lead investor Goldman Sachs. Mr. Petersen also crafted complex software licenses and intellectual property agreements with key strategic partners. Prior to joining NowDocs, Mr. Petersen was Vice President/Assistant General Counsel for Prudential Real Estate Affiliates where he negotiated creative corporate financing structures including merger and acquisition through franchised companies. Mr. Petersens contributions at Prudential include; acquisition of London office complex (200 million pounds), Prudential Plaza, Chicago, Illinois, $500-million redevelopment project, resolution of litigation involving 100 plaintiffs for half of projected dollar amount of damages, Chicago Hilton and Towers, $400-million renovation of major hotel and convention center and acquisition of Zurich building and Woodfield Corporate Center involving a $10 million lease and joint venture. Mr. Petersen received his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude degree from the University of Minnesota and graduated with high honors from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Petersen is licensed to practice in California, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin and is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and American Corporate Counsel Association. |
